I can't belive you would say that about Kindergarden Cop! How can you stand there and say that Jingle all the Way is a good movie and at the same time discredit KinCop? KinCop is a classic and paved the way for all of the other really bad non bloodbath movies.
You guys are morons, you all have clearly spent to much time in that new fishbowl of an office. To start off with, let's get one thing straight, Arnold movies are not good, the rare few, Total Recall, T1&2, Predator, are important because they represent iconic performances in really bad late 80s/early 90s action films. Anything else Arnold had done in only cool out of nostalgia ie Kindergarten Cop. Kindergarten Cop is the superior choice because I saw it in the theater when I was a little kid; it stared the annoying kid from Full House, a show that I watched at the time, and therefore I will watch it again because it will speak to the world of my childhood. Now Jingle all the Way came out when I was in college, what connection do I have to it?, and anyway it is clearly the poor man version of two former Arnold movies. First and foremost it is a poor mans version of Kindergarten Cop. Arnold staring in a kids movie is a draw to movie going audiences because it places the action movie star in a non traditional role and the public is drawn in by this oddity. Arnold doing a kids movie at the height of his action movie success is genius. To star in another kids movie years later, after his career has taken a significant slide is purely trying to capitalize a former formulaic success. Second, Jingle all the way is a poor mans version of Twins, the odd couple/buddy picture, take out Danny DeVito, insert Sinbad, shake it up a little, and there you have it – a big piece of crap. How could you ever argue that Jingle all the Way is superior to anything when clearly it is just a derivative of older, better, box office smashes.
